Volunteering can help you explore areas of youth work to determine what you like and don’t like. After a volunteering experience you may want to use the following questions to reflect on your volunteer experience to gain greater clarity about the right career path for you.

What is the mission of the organization you visited?

Does it align with your mission in regards to youth?

What tasks did you complete during your
visit and how do they match your skills
and interests?

What was your favorite part of the day? What was your least favorite? Why?

List two things you learned about yourself during this experience.

Would you enjoy working at this organization or a similar organization? Why or why not?
